T-Rescues

Posted by admin on March 24th, 2007

In canoeing a t-rescue is where one canoe flips over and another canoe comes up to it at a perpendicular where the nose of the flipped over canoe is at the center of the canoe making a “t.” Then lift the nose of the canoe onto the top of your canoe so that the gunnels are touching. That is one canoe upright with the other canoe upside down on top of the upright one. This drain all the water out of it. Flip it over and slide it back into the water right side up. Then you have two canoes upright. Help the other people into their canoe so that it does not flip again.
