Cup O’ Water
Material:
-1 large garbage cans
-8-10 tables
-1 pail for every team
-1 Styrofoam cup for every player
-optional something to mark a line on the pail (tape, marker, cut the pail, anything for make a line)
How to play:
Layout the tables in a circle, and put the garbage can in the middle full of water. Split the group up into as many teams as the leader wants. Put one pail for every team on the tables. Give every player a cup. On “go” the campers need to go to the water and fill their cups and run to the pail and pour it in. Then they tag a camper on their team and that camper must go and fill their cup and the person that just went goes to the end of the line. Once the team gets to the line on the pail that team wins.
Variations:
Play till the water over flows out of the pail
Do something with water balloons
Material
Water balloons
How to play
Get the campers to stand and facing each other. Give one camper a water balloon and they need to pass it to the camper across from them. If the balloon does not break they take a step back and pass it again. The campers need to pass the balloon a certain distance before they can go to the next event in the relay(there is a version of this were all the campers stand in a line and see who can pass the balloon the furthest successfully with out the balloon popping, but that is not a relay it is just a water game)
Have the campers run an obstacle course carrying a water balloon while they pass it to other campers. Like the baton relay in the Olympics
Have the campers pop as many as they can in a given time
Play dodge ball
Do something with only cups of water
