Picture Scavenger Hunt
Posted by admin on March 12th, 2007
Description:
Campers must take a picture all the objects first (30-100+ people)
Time:
30-45 min
Material:
-Photocopy of list
-1 digital camera per team
Objective:
Get all you pictures the most creatively they can
How to play:
Split into groups. Give every group a list of things that they need take pictures of. Once everything is photographed they take the camera back to the leader and the leader downloads the pictures and look at them. Now taking pictures is fun but really easy, to make it harder the leader will go around the camp and find objects to give the teams. 1 object for every team. The object must be in every picture with all but the leader of the team. Extra marks a given for creativity. Some objects could be:
-spare tire
-heavy large log
-extra door
-mattress
-something that is awkward for one person to carry but not that bad for two
The pictures are to be take at various locations around the camp or doing various thing. Try to make some of the places harder to figure out. If the list says:
-at cabin 3
-at the flag pole
-in the boat house
Then it becomes who ever can get them fastest and they all look the same. This is no fun to judge. If the list can have ones that are a little vague and need to be figured out or are open for interpretation then it is fun for the campers to try to think of what is wanted as they work as a team at getting the pictures. (eg. a picture with a splash - could be someone or everyone jumping into water, dropping something in water, throwing water, anything that makes a splash. Or another example is: The whole team off the ground - everyone jumping, everyone jumping off something, everyone holding something to keep them off the ground, or however they feel they can do to get the picture)
Then at chapel that night tell the winners and if you can show some of the best pictures
Rules:
-The object must be in every picture
-Everyone must be in every picture but the team leader
