Human Knot

Posted by admin on March 12th, 2007

Description:
This is a game that requires a high level problem solving skills (30-100+ people)

Time:
15-20 min

Material:
Nothing

Objective:
Get your group out of their knot first

How to play:
Get the group into two groups. Get everyone in one group to make a circle shoulder to shoulder. Once everyone is in the circle they need to all walk towards the center so that they make a very small huddle all facing each other. Then they need to all reach their hands to the middle and grab some one else’s hand. Then they need to untie/tangle themselves till they get back to the circle all holding hands. (some people may be facing outward in the final circle that is OK, or your group will make several smaller circles that is fine as well, the key is that there is no knot everyone is out and free)

Variation:
The younger campers you can play mixed sex, with the older campers you may want to keep it separate for the sexes

Rules:
-You can not let go of the hands
-You must go over, under, or through the other players arms
-You can not grab two hands from the same camper
