British Bulldog

Posted by admin on February 8th, 2007

Description:
A variation of tag (50-100+ people)

Time:
20-30 min

Material:
-Field
-2 ropes/4 chairs/4 rocks/anything to make a line

Objective:
Be the last person not in the middle

How to play:
Divide the field into a big open space with a line at either end (the safe zone). Put 1 or 2 campers in the middle and everyone else one end behind the line. When you say go all the campers run though the middle and over the other line. Any camper that gets tagged joins the campers in the middle to help with the next round. Keep running from one line to the other till everyone is caught. The last person left wins.

Variations:
Octopus - campers run from one line to the other but this time when they are tagged they need to fall to the ground and become stationary sea creators or objects and the only one that can run around is the octopus. However the stationary sea creators or objects can still tag campers if they get to close.

12-17 Years - Do not tag, you need to get the entire body off the ground of the person to catch them

Rules:
-Once you cross the line you are safe
-If you are tagged you must go or stay in the middle
-You can not run way off to the side, try to stay in the playing area
