The leader will set up an airport. As you can see in the picture, it is key that there is a security area with a line to the plane and then a separation of the plane to the exit. The picture is only a rough idea to show the basics. Split the campers into two teams. The campers start outside the entrance and can take 0-1 item onto the plane. They go through the entrance into the line for security check. At security check they will get passed through or thoroughly checked, it is up to the security guard. After they are done in security they go and get into the line for the flight. While in line, a roaming security guard can pull them out of the line and check them again. When the plane is empty the first 8 in line will go and sit one the plane. The flight is a two - three minute flight. After they land and the loud noise is made to signal the counselors in the back to start timing, the campers get off the plane and go through the exit. Once they are through the exit, the campers will go to their team spot (one team goes left, the other team goes right. They need to be separate and out of sight from each other) Once they get to their spots they give their item to a counselor who keeps track of the score. If they want to get the easy points they can just give their item to the counselor, but if they want to get extra points they have 1-3 minutes (the leader of the game decides how hard they want it to be) after the plane lands (reason for loud noise) to perform the task (Lighting the match, sparkler, blowing up and popping the balloon, or copying the verse(pull out a verse from a pail and copy it into the “bible”)) once the time is up they get the points for successfully competing the task or they do not get the points. After they are done, they go around to the start and try again. At the end of the game tally everything up and see who won. If at any time an item is found the person must return back to the start and try again, and the team will lose 5 points for every found item. The key is try to keep the game moving and not having too many people in line, for larger groups you my need to make the plane bigger, but to make then wait at least one flight is good.
This is a game that uses a lot of your staff:
-2 people giving the items
-1 person working the entrance line
-2 -3 people working the tables
-1 person wondering keeping everything under control
-2 pilots (high energy people that can pretend a plane taking off and landing and narrating the flight
-4 people in the back with good ears 2 for each team
-a few people on the outside helping keep the game going
-optional 2 luggage officials
Variations:
Give the campers the option to check their luggage (a security guard will take it and put it on the small table, and a luggage official will take it off the table and put it in the checked luggage area for pick up after the flight. If the luggage official want to they can search the luggage while it is there till the person gets off the flight)
This game can also be set up in a field and the campers begin inside and go outside and then back inside again
Rules:
-Use common sense
-Checkers check same sexes
